Our Friendship Is Really More Than This!

People Sure Have Some Funny & Sometimes Amazing Ways Of Showing How Strong Their Friendships With Each Other Are.

Some Find It Cool To Wear Identical Shirts Or The Same Pair Of Shoes.

Some Even Sport The Same Hairstyle!

To Them, This Proves That They Are So Right For Each Other.

Since They Share The Same Interests, Or Like The Same Stuff.

But With Us, It’s Really More Than That!

It’s Not Just Our Similarities That Matter.

We Also Accept And Respect Whatever Differences We Have.

We Also Know That Whatever The Weather, We’re There For Each Other.

We Encourage And Inspire Each Other To Be Better Persons, Not Just For Ourselves, But For Other People As Well.

We Don’t Really Need To Wear Identical Shirts Or Shoes. (Just An Identical Blackberry Units!!!)

People Can Still Tell How Close We Are And How Great Our Friendship Is.

All They Have To Do Is To Look At Our Happy Faces!

Our Smiles Say It All.

Happy Belated Birthday Chebs!

Ayoko Nang Magkunwari...

Huwag Kang Pabulag Sa Iyong Nakikita
Sa Mga Mukhang Iyong Nakikita
Pagka't Iya'y Maskara, Isanlibong Balatkayo
Balatkayong Kayganda Nguni't Isa Man Diya'y 'Di Ako

Ang Pagkukunwari Ay Natural Sa Akin
Ngunit Huwag Kang Padaya, Huwag Kang Pabulag
Nakilala Mo Ang Isang Ako
Na Ang Lahat Ay Kay Ganda, Tiwala'y Nasa Akin
Walang Puwang Ang Panimdim
Magaling, May Kapayapaan, Wasto, At Di Nangangailangan Ng Iba

Pero Huwag Kang Maniwala
Ang Panlabas Ko'y Maaaring Kayganda
Pero Yan Ay Paimbabaw
Sa Kaibutura'y Walang Kapayapaan, Walang Katahimikan
Naroon Ang Tunay Na Ako, Ang Nalilitong Ako
Takot At Nag Iisang Ako

Ngunit Iyan Ay Aking Itinatago
Ayaw Kong Malaman Ng Iba
Natataranta Sa Aking Kahinaan At Takot Na Ito'y Matuklasan
Kung Kaya't Ako'y Nagbabalatkayo
Ng Isang Nakakaaliw At Matatag Na Balatkayo
Gumagamit Ng Mga Tao,
Para Sa Aking Pagkukunwari, Mapagtakpan Ang Tunay Na Ako
Sa Mga Matang Lilingap At Magnanais Maarok Ang Aking Kaakuhan.

Subalit Iyon Ang Aking Kailangan
Matang Lilingap Ang Tangi Kong Kaligtasan
Kung Ito'y May Pagtanggap At May Kalakip Na Pagmamahal
Ang Hahango Sa Akin Sa Aking Mga Kabaliwan
Hahawi Sa Pader Na Pilit Kong Binakod Sa Katotohanan
Ang Magbibigay Buhay Sa Katauhan Kong Patay
Magbibigay Turing Sa Aking Katuringan

Datapwa't Iyan Ay 'Di Ko Tahasang Masabi Sayo
Ayaw Kong Mangahas, Ako'y Takot
Na 'Di Mo Matanggap, Pagtawanan, Iwasan
Takot Na Malaman Mong Sa Aking Kaibutura'y Abo At Putik Ang Laman
Na Kapag Iyong Natuklasan Ako'y Iyong Iwanan

Kung Kaya't Ako'y Naglalaro, Ang Laro Ng Pagkukunwari
Ng Panlabas Na Matatag Ngunit Panloob Na Mabuway

At Nagsimula Ang Parada Ng Balatkayo
Ng Mga Maskarang Panlabas
Nakikita At Nakakausap Mo Ang Aking Mga Paimbabaw
Nang Di Nalalaman Ang Tunay Kong Kaakuhan

Kaya...
Kapag Ako'y Nagsimula Na Naman...
Sa Pagbabalatkayo...At Pagkukunwari...
Makinig Ka...At Sikapin Mong Pakinggan...
Ang Mga 'Di Ko Sinasabi...Na Gusto Kong Sabihin...
Na Kailangan Kong Sabihin...Ngunit 'Di Ko Kayang Sabihin...
Ayaw Ko Nang Magbalatkayo
Magtago...
Mandaya..
Manggamit...
At Magkunwari...

Gusto Kong Malaman Ang Katotohanan...
Magising Sa Aking Mga Panaginip...
Sa Aking Kabaliwan...
Mamulat Sa Sarili Kong Kamalayan...
Gusto Kong Maging Totoo...
Maging Tunay...
Maging Sarili Ko...
Maging Ako...
Akong Ako...

Ngunit Kailangan Ko Ng Tulong Mo...

MGA SIPING KATHA MULA SA LIBRO NI BOB ONG NA ABNKKBSNPLAko?

I can’t help but borrow some of the lines used by Bob Ong in his book ABNKKBSNPLAko? (mga kwentong chalk ni Bob Ong). These are the lines that struck me and indeed moved me into pondering the message he wants to imply.

Basta sakin isa cyang HENYO!

The decision to stand up or not will either create or destroy you.

Hindi ko man matupad proud kong sasabihin sa sarili kong “atleast I gave it a try”.

pinangarap nating baguhin minsan.”

They don't know that I come running home when I fall down.

They don't know who picks me up when no one is around.

I drop my sword and cry for just a while.'

Coz deep inside this armor….The warrior is a child.

I Feel Good When You Tell Me You Take And Consider Some Of My Advice Before Making Decisions.

Thank You For Listening To Me.

For Being Just And Unbiased When I Needed Your Opinion.

Thank You For Knowing What To Say And Knowing When To Shut Up.

Thank You For Those Chika Nights. For The Jammin’ Nights. For The Cold Nights.

For The Beer Nights (Which I Think We Haven’t Had Because We Never Drink Right?) Seriously, There’s A Whole Lot More To Thank You.

But For Now, Just Enjoy Your Vacation And Reward Yourself With Your Family.

My Regards To Your Mama.

I Thank The 3 Of You For Taking Care Of Me.

For Not Letting Me Go Even For One Minute.

For Not Giving Up On Me. And Most Of All, For Accepting Me With All My Faults And Nuances.

Thank You For All The Words Of Encouragement, Pat On The Back, For The Reminders When I Am Going On The Wrong Way.

Most Importantly, Thank You For Loving & Understanding Me!

You Guys Have 28 Fun Filled Days Vacation With Your Family…28 Lonely Days For Me Here.

But What Keeps Me Sane Is Knowing You’ll Be Back Afterwards.

Remember That God Is Good, All The Time!

Beware Of Garbage Trucks!

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood?

Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day?

Unless you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably set back on your heels.

However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly he/she can get back her focus on what's important.

Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson.

I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab.

Here's what happened.

I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station.

We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches!

The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.

And I mean, he was friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you just do that?

This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

Many people are like garbage trucks.

They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they'll dump it on you.

When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally.

You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You'll be happy you did.

So this was it:

The 'Law of the Garbage Truck.' I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks
run right over me?

And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets?

It was that day I said, 'I'm not going to do it anymore.' I began to see garbage trucks.

I see the load they're carrying.

I see them coming to drop it off. And like my Taxi Driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.

One of my favorite football players of all time,Walter Payton, did this every day on the football field.

He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit.

Payton was ready to make the next play his best.

Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting.

Good parents know that they have to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses.

Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let Garbage Trucks take over their day.

What about you?

What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?

Here's my bet.

You'll be happier.

(Narrated by David J. Pollay)
